Geoengineering and geotechnical explorations

Geoservice Engineering AD performs engineering — geological and geotechnical explorations as well as examinations for determining the engineering — geological conditions, physical — mechanical and strength — deformation characteristics of the construction soils, engineering structures (buildings, bridges, tunnels, dams, etc.), reinforcement of landslides, landslips, etc.

In the cases where exploratory core drilling is used we use three types of drilling systems for welling, namely:

With single-wall core tube:
Drilling is performed in dry, without use of the washing solution. Depths and diameters are determined together with the client, taking into account the requirements of the design solution.

With dihedral core tube:
Using of washing solutions with no direct contact with the drill core. This allows achievement of more accurate and consistent results. Depths and diameters are determined together with the client, taking into account the requirements and parameters of the project.

With extractable core tube:
We use this technology mainly in particular cases where extraction of a high percentage of drill core is necessary, and this is hindered by the geologic environment. Very good results are obtained when drilling in highly hydrated, unrelated formations, which is possible through the use of special organic polymers that do not change the parameters of the drill core.

We also offer:

Static penetration (CPT)
Used for related and unrelated construction soils. This technology is implemented by automatic record and data processing. Parameters are determined together with the client, taking into account his requirements and requirements of the project.

Dynamic penetration (SPT)
Used in strong construction soils containing breakstone. This technology is implemented by automatic record and data processing. Parameters are determined together with the client, taking into account his requirements and parameters of the project.

Presiometry
Determining of strength and deformation characteristics of construction soils in welling with depth up to 100 m and in some cases more than 100 m.

Dilatometry
Determining of strength and deformation characteristics of construction soils directly or by welling with various depth.
